Dr. K.S Chahal
Chairman of the Board
Dr. Chahal is the Chief Scientist at Bezzie Technologies. His extensive experience in the fields of medicine and medical-device development has led to the development of cutting edge technologies involved in transcutaneous nerve stimulation without the use of traditional electrodes and electrical current. He has a strong interest in the areas of environmental pollution and its effect on the health and wellbeing of all biological systems.
He is an alumnus of the Johns Hopkins University from where he holds a post doctorate in Medicine. Dr. Chahal served as the Chairman of the division of Cardiopulmonary Medicine at its Northwest Hospital Center for over a decade. He is the co-founder of the Alpine Center for High Altitude Research and played a pivotal role in developing the deeper understanding of mechanisms that lead to development of High Altitude Pulmonary and Brain Edema. These discoveries have played a pivotal role in developing treatments of several common human maladies.
He is the Chief Executive at the US based Concha Technologies. Previously, he has served as an Advisor to the Chairman of the Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority of India; Senior Consultant at Immunicon Inc. in Philadelphia, PA, & Silome Biotechnology in Cincinnati, OH, and as the chief executive at Indigene LifeScience Technologies.
Sukhwinder Kumar
Managing Director
Mr. Kumar serves as the Managing Director of the company. He holds a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and boasts over 15 years of experience in the realm of embedded systems development and industrial automation. As a hands-on engineer, he demonstrates proficiency in mentoring and assembling proficient technical teams for ongoing projects.
Prior to his current role, he spent 5 years at the Central Scientific Instruments Organization of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIO-CSIR) in the Bio-Medical Engineering department. Over the past decade and a half, Mr. Kumar has been a pivotal force in the design and realization of a myriad of healthcare and consumer electronic products. His innovative designs have not only been recognized with patents but have also enjoyed substantial commercial success, amplifying his reputation as a visionary in the industry. His track record of delivering impactful and marketable products speaks volumes about his commitment to excellence and his profound understanding of market needs and technological advancements.
Gagan Dhaliwal
Director
Mr. Dhaliwal is the Director of Development and Marketing of BeKalm®, the company’s marquee product. He has been involved with this project for the past five years, first as the coordinator of clinical testing in Canada while he was simultaneously majoring in Business Administration in Vancouver, BC, and later as the lead in product development through the stages of pre-production prototyping, sourcing suppliers, developing international manufacturing partners, and various aspects of strategic business planning. He has an intimate knowledge of the science behind the technology, the subtle nuances of Vagus Nerve Stimulation, the Cholinergic Anti-Inflammatory Pathways and the short-term as well as long-term implications of the use of BeKalm®.
He is currently involved in establishing a Canada-subsidiary of the company, a country in which he has spent 5 years and of which he has a deep understanding, both culturally and the business environment. Part of his future duties will include coordinating research activities in Canada and US for identifying potential applications of the BeKalm® in chronic diseases such as Metabolic Syndrome, Hypertension, Coronary Artery Disease, Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Alzheimer’s Disease, to name a few.
When not burning the midnight oil, he spends his time fighting for gender equality, improving awareness of mental health & availability of mental healthcare. He has participated in Round Square, an international program aimed at the principle of internationalism, democratic principles and above all, service. An avid sportsman, he has climbed to the Mount Everest base-camp and competed in national level athletic meets.
He has indeed squeezed a substantial bit into his young life.
Amanvir Singh Randhawa
Director
Mr. Randhawa is the Director of Social Media Marketing and Brand Development. He developed an interest in graphics design during high school and has become a formidable photographer over the years. He has combined his training in Business Administration with his artistic skills to become a strategic thinker and brilliant social media marketing professional.
Since joining Bezzie Technologies in February 2020, as an assistant to the Managing Director, he has quickly mastered the many technologies being incubated at the company and developed a master plan for strategically streamline the company’s marketing, branding and licensing objectives. He is currently leading the crowd-funding campaign for AnesthPen, a non-invasive local anesthesia device based on the company’s proprietary technology, for the dual purpose or gauging consumer interest and raising capital.
In his spare time, Amanvir volunteers as a basketball coach for underprivileged students and do still photography.
Jaspreet Khaira
Accounting & Finance
Ms. Khaira is a Chartered Certified Accountant with special interest in Corporate and Business law, Financial Management & Planning and Performance Management. She holds a Masters in Economics and did her Chartered Accountancy from UK. Beyond managing the routine accounting and financial reporting, her international experience in the UK and India helps the company navigate its multinational operations.
Before coming to Bezzie Technologies, she has provided consultancy to high-worth individuals and assisted them in asset management and financial planning.
In her spare time, she does honorary work for the Red Cross Society and create masterful culinary treats. She is a devoted mother to her two beautiful children and an indispensable support to her husband.
Urvashi Chauhan
Research Associate
Ms. Chauhan holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology and has completed two years of her PhD program. She joined Bezzie to expand her interest in the area of Central Nervous System modulatory responses to chronic systemic immune system activation and inflammation. She was the research associate to the Chairman in monitoring psychometric changes with the company’s non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation device during the just concluded clinical testing in India. She will transition to the planned study on the effect of this technology on the modulation of autoimmune disease intensity with activation of the Cholinergic Anti-inflammatory Pathway using the company’s marquee vagus nerve stimulation device, BeKalm (R) .
Besides being a scholar and a researcher, Urvashi has interest in Contemporary and folk dance. She has participated in numerous competitions at the college and university level. She is tri-lingual with excellent command of English, Hindi and Sanskrit.
